Things that turn my day bad

Still haven't had a moment to update Day 5, Juneau. Which was my favorite day. Maybe later today I'll get that done.

In the meantime, I wanted to share a couple of pet peeves:

1) People who roll their eyes and say "I NEVER watch TV". Usually this follows me spending 3 full minutes listing off all the shows I DVR without taking a breath. I get the same annoying feeling when people say "we don't even have cable" and then look at me like I do crack and eat babies.

First of all, I only eat babies when they are chocolate dipped with sprinkles. Second of all, if you don't watch TV very often or you don't have cable, great for you! There are probably things you do that I don't (like camp or go to the lake or craft) and I don't hate on you. So don't hate on me. It's a luxury, but I never, ever apologize for enjoying a little (or a lot) of "What Not to Wear", "House Hunters", and an occasional ANTM.

Like I said, I think it's great if you don't watch TV or don't have cable....but don't hate on me and look at me with disgust because I do.

2) People who talk on their cell phones while peeing in a public restroom. Not even those who come into a public restroom for privacy (I know, irony, right?). But those that are crouched over a toilet, peeing while gabbing on about some girl in the office next door. Or, even worse, conducting business while peeing. Are we really that pressed for time? It's a public restroom, and I would like to pee in peace.

Maybe you can get away with no one hearing you pee over the phone (though Dean Blevins certainly couldn't) but how do you explain the flushing?

3) The phrase "baby bump". I don't know why...it's like the word nipple or motherboard or moist. Just creeps me out.

4) Paying $2.50 for a coke at a restaurant.

5) People who leave mean anonymous comments to an old blog post (or to any blog post) that make me have to block anonymous comments. And then, if it continues, I'll have to start monitoring all comments before posting. And if it comes to that, why even blog anymore?

Please don't leave mean comments. This blog is about me, it's for my friends and family, and I'm really sensitive and don't like mean comments. That's all I'm going to say about it.

Have a nice day!

I hate when people leave mean comments! People I don't even know have said "If you don't want others opinions why write about it in a public blog?" Well....It's my personal blog that although everyone can read it's not an open forum for debate! I think if it bothers them that much they should write a nasty post about my post on their own blog where I don't have to see or read about it!

Yes yes and YES to the "baby bump" thing! I have been saying thing for months. The phrase has gone out of control. Now we have "bump watch" and "bump patrol" and "So and so was proudly displaying her bump." I can't take it anymore. I guess I could quit watching entertainment tv but I won't (see #1).

I'm not a huge fan of the "baby bump" either. People who leave mean comments suck! I love your blog and hope you don't stop blogging. (((HUGS)))

I am sorry to hear about the mean comment. I didn't see what anyone wrote, but I can't imagine it being anything negative. Your blog rocks!

I miss you! I wish that we lived closer together, and then we could watch all of our shows we have on our DVR and then talk about how dumb the phrase "baby bump" is. I love reading your blog... keep up the great blogging!
