Better late than never...

Where was blogger when I was in high school? It's amazing how popular you can become with a blog! I could have been Homecoming Queen instead of show choir and newspaper nerd. Oh how times have changed.

I know, I know! I have been a horrible blogger since my fantastic run in November. I don't know why. I'd like to say because I've been so busy. Which is 100% true. But truth be told, I haven't had much inspiration or motivation. I think I was kind of boring to start the month. But then there was so much....so much I could have written about. It got to be more than I could handle then I just stopped thinking about writing. I'll try to be better, and I really do appreciate everyone who reads and stops by. Just know that I'm reading YOUR blog every day and every day I, too, am wondering what's taking you so long to update!

Like I said....this month has been so full. I'm lost in a blur of wrapping paper and Christmas lights and parties and steak and gift baskets and receipts and TVs and realtors. All I really want to do at this point is lay in my cute Christmas PJ's on the couch watching "Friends" reruns on our new TV. Yes, we got a new TV....and thus begins the recap...
---------------------------------------------

I had 7 Christmas parties I attended this season (5 of which were work-related)...

Last Monday through Thursday, I had a total of 31 meetings with TV and radio station sales reps...

We just got a plate of Ingrid's cookies from a sales rep at our office, and I've already eaten two Thumbprints....

We got a new TV. 37-inch HD LCD. Of course we wanted to go bigger, but we had to find something that would fit in our current entertainment center. Otherwise, Cary, I would have totally bought the 42-inch!

I'm not done with my Christmas shopping...

We put our house up for sale....

I start a week's vacation in 91 minutes...

I got my hair cut and I love it this time. Sally rocks (Stevie still rocks, but Sally just happened to rock more this time)...

We went to a Catfish eating contest with some friends. We didn't compete, but we saw some people eat more than 20 catfish in one sitting. My stomach is churning just thinking about it...

I feel like maybe the TV is more of a priority in my life than it should be. Purchasing the TV caused us to miss, for the third year in a row, our church Christmas party. And I was really looking forward to it and told everyone we would be there. But you should really see McDreamy in HD...

Mason made $30 Saturday because he scored 6 goals in basketball. Arni is paying him $5 per goal. I told Arni I play basketball sometimes, too, but apparently it only applies to 5th graders and kindergartners....

The $30 brings him to almost $50 that he has saved now. I'll have to check my balance, but I'm pretty sure that might be more money than I have. And he's only 5...

My grandparents are coming on Saturday!! I can't wait to see them and my aunt. NOW it seems like Christmas...

I got the coolest calendar in the mail this week. It's from the Oklahoma Beef Council, and each month is a recipe and a picture of red meat. I can't wait until September because it's country fried steak month...

I've already decided on my New Year's Resolutions. I won't talk about them just yet, but my Monday and Tuesday nights are already booked because of them...

There are many other thoughts and updates running through my head, but I'll give you a break. It's been so long since I posted I'm sure you aren't used to hearing me talk! I'll try to be a better blogger on my vacation (now 61 minutes away). Wish me luck in the crowds tomorrow, as I brave THE MALL!

House up for sale?! Didn't you all just build? I think that deserves a full post. Merry Christmas!
